Every once in awhile an artist does a piece that immediately gives complete satisfaction and a feeling of perfection achieved for the intended vision. This painting has done that for me. When I finished I felt that level of excitement that the work came completely together how I envisioned. It's a big painting- 2 foot by 4 foot, my biggest yet since I started to paint again. My journey as an artist is taking me places both known and unknown, and isn't the fun the trip itself? As is my usual, I name my paintings using a play on words to convey my message, and this one is titled "BHound to Get There". Done in acrylics, this painting has won top awards. It is NFS at this time unless you have an offer I can't refuse. It has been professionally framed. I'm in love!
Jonelle McCoy, the artist and creator of the beautiful paintings on McCoy's Gaited Horse Artworks, grew up in Upstate New York where her innate talent to create was evidenced at an early age. She states that her love of animals has always existed, and that they are the main focus of her drawings and paintings. As a child, she even made her own patterns for stuffed animals she sewed.
