In an effort to ease the terrible drought in 2011 summer Oklahoma, I tried several things, to no avail. I then did this painting with it's native American type symbol painted paso fino stallion using the bird to carry the message up to the sky and clouds to plea for rain. It worked! It rained that very evening. And the painting was sold that evening too- so I'm hoping the new owner gets the much needed rain where they are too! 1st place winner.
Jonelle McCoy, the artist and creator of the beautiful paintings on McCoy's Gaited Horse Artworks, grew up in Upstate New York where her innate talent to create was evidenced at an early age. She states that her love of animals has always existed, and that they are the main focus of her drawings and paintings. As a child, she even made her own patterns for stuffed animals she sewed.
