I wanted to express a more theatrical piece using scenic painting techniques I'd use when in that profession and have the paso fino whimsically expressed with falling maple leaves and swirls of the breeze that takes them on their journey down from the trees in Autumn. Maple trees were part of the memories I have of fall in Upstate NY- there aren't any here in Oklahoma where I live now. Available at the Kasum Contemporary Fine Art gallery in OKC.

Jonelle McCoy, the artist and creator of the beautiful paintings on McCoy's Gaited Horse Artworks, grew up in Upstate New York where her innate talent to create was evidenced at an early age. She states that her love of animals has always existed, and that they are the main focus of her drawings and paintings. As a child, she even made her own patterns for stuffed animals she sewed.
